(IU 170 & 171, 2 credits per semester, 4 credits total)
Students in this introductory leadership class explore leadership as a vehicle for service. In the fall, students learn basic leadership theory and implement a group service project in Fort Collins. In the spring, concepts such as diversity, multiculturalism, and social justice are applied through an off-site service weekend trip (e.g., Pine Ridge Native American Reservation in South Dakota). Incoming first-year students and current CSU students are eligible to apply for "A Call to Lead." Classes are held on tuesdays from 4-6pm.
(IU270 & 271, 2 credits per semester, 4 credits total)
Students in this intermediate leadership class learn to apply leadership theory to practice. In the fall, students study leadership models, team management principles, and professional communication. In the spring, students participate in a leadership intern experience where they volunteer with local non-profit or business organizations to study leadership in action. Current CSU students are eligible to apply for "Leadership as Life." Classes are held on Tuesdays from 4-6pm.
(IU 470 & 471, 3 credits per semester, 6 credits total)
Students in this intermediate leadership class learn to apply leadership theory to practice. In the fall, students study leadership models, team management principles, and professional communication.
